Our Chassis Swap Process:
- Disconnection & Removal: We begin by disconnecting all wiring, brake lines, gear linkages, and hoses. Next, we carefully separate the body from the old chassis, ensuring all running gear remains attached.
- Component Transfer: The suspension, engine, gearbox, and differential are then removed from the old chassis and fitted onto the new one.
- Reassembly: After aligning the body with the new chassis, our technicians meticulously reconnect all components. We ensure that all necessary fluids, such as coolant and brake fluid, are topped up, and the air conditioning system is regassed.
- Wheel Alignment: The vehicle undergoes a precise wheel alignment to ensure proper handling and safety.
- Compliance & Registration: Once the reassembly is complete, the vehicle is taken to the police for sighting of the new chassis. After this, we proceed with obtaining a surrogate VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) from the police.
- Final Inspection & Certification: After receiving the surrogate VIN, we stamp it on the new chassis. The vehicle is then taken to TMR (Transport and Main Roads) for a final sighting of the vehicle and new VIN, completing the certification process.
- Return to Insurance: Once certified, the vehicle is released back to the insurance company.
